Content Policy
BlockHeight Ventures LLC d/b/a OnChainImprint
Effective Date: May 21, 2026
OnChainImprint exists to help people preserve what matters most: permanently, authentically, and on their own terms. Because every inscription is permanent and irreversible once recorded on a blockchain network, we have a responsibility to ensure the content we help preserve meets a standard worthy of that permanence.
This Content Policy explains what content is permitted, what is prohibited, and how we make those determinations.
1. THE PERMANENCE STANDARD
Every inscription created through OnChainImprint is permanent. It cannot be altered, deleted, or removed from the blockchain by the Company, the User, or any third party. Because of this, we apply a higher standard of review to content before it is inscribed than platforms that can delete or modify content after the fact.
We ask one simple question before approving any inscription: is this content worthy of being permanent?
2. PERMITTED CONTENT
OnChainImprint welcomes inscriptions that celebrate, commemorate, document, or preserve meaningful moments including but not limited to:
- (a) Personal milestones: births, deaths, marriages, anniversaries, graduations, and achievements.
- (b) Memorial tributes: honoring loved ones, pets, or meaningful relationships.
- (c) Personal messages: statements of intent, love, gratitude, or reflection.
- (d) Document timestamping: creating a verifiable permanent record of the existence of a document at a specific point in time.
- (e) Collector item provenance: recording the ownership history and condition of physical collectibles.
- (f) Business records: corporate provenance chains, product authentication records, and supply chain documentation.
- (g) Creative expression: original poetry, writing, or artistic statements.
- (h) Historical records: documenting events, moments, or observations of personal or historical significance.
Milestone inscriptions (Lane 1) are held to a higher content standard befitting their commemorative purpose. The Company reserves the right to reject any content deemed inappropriate for a permanent commemorative record.
3. PROHIBITED CONTENT
The following content is prohibited and will be rejected during the review process. Submission of prohibited content may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
- (a) Illegal content: any content that violates applicable federal, state, or local law including but not limited to content that facilitates criminal activity, fraud, or illegal transactions.
- (b) Hate speech: content that promotes, glorifies, or incites hatred, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
- (c) Harassment and threats: content directed at specific individuals with the intent to harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm.
- (d) Sexual content involving minors: any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors in any way. This is an absolute prohibition with no exceptions. Submission of such content will result in immediate permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement.
- (e) Non-consensual personal information: content that reveals private personal information about an identifiable individual without their express written consent, including but not limited to home addresses, financial information, medical records, or private communications.
- (f) Impersonation: content that falsely represents the identity of another person, company, or entity with the intent to deceive.
- (g) Copyright infringement: content that reproduces copyrighted material without authorization from the rights holder.
- (h) Defamation: content that makes false statements of fact about an identifiable individual or entity that could damage their reputation.
- (i) Obscene content: content that is pornographic or sexually explicit without legitimate commemorative, documentary, or artistic purpose.
- (j) Spam and commercial solicitation: mass commercial messages, unsolicited advertising, or content designed primarily to promote a product or service rather than preserve a meaningful moment.
4. SENSITIVE CONTENT
Some content is not automatically prohibited but requires additional review and may be rejected at the Company's discretion:
- (a) Content involving public figures: inscriptions that reference real, identifiable public figures will be reviewed for accuracy, context, and potential defamation.
- (b) Content involving deceased individuals: inscriptions referencing deceased persons will be reviewed for dignity and appropriateness.
- (c) Content involving third parties: inscriptions that name or identify other individuals will be reviewed to ensure those individuals' privacy rights are respected.
- (d) Graphic content: content describing violence, tragedy, or difficult life events may be reviewed for context and purpose before approval.
5. THE MEMO LANE
The Memo service is available for content that does not meet the higher content standard applied to Milestone inscriptions. Memo inscriptions permit profanity, controversial opinions, and any legal content that does not violate the prohibitions in Section 3. All Section 3 prohibitions apply to Memo inscriptions without exception.
Memo inscriptions are binary encoded by default on the blockchain. Memo inscriptions do not include certificates, milestone pages, or promotional eligibility.
6. THE REVIEW PROCESS
All inscription content is reviewed before being broadcast to a blockchain network. The review process works as follows:
- (a) Automated review: all submissions are first evaluated by an automated content moderation system. Content that clearly meets our standards is approved automatically. Content that clearly violates our policy is rejected automatically.
- (b) Human review: content that falls between clear approval and clear rejection is escalated to human review by Company staff.
- (c) Review window: the review process typically completes within 24 hours of submission.
- (d) Rejection: if content is rejected, the User will be notified by email with the reason for rejection. Rejected content is not inscribed on any blockchain network. Refunds for rejected inscriptions will be issued if the content was never broadcast to the blockchain network.
7. APPEALS
If you believe your inscription was incorrectly rejected, you may appeal the decision by contacting hello@onchainimprint.com within 7 days of receiving the rejection notice. Include your order number and the reason you believe the content complies with this Policy. The Company will review all appeals and respond within 5 business days. The Company's decision on appeal is final.
8. ENFORCEMENT
The Company reserves the right to:
- (a) Reject any inscription at its sole discretion.
- (b) Suspend or terminate accounts that submit prohibited content. Two or more submissions of prohibited content may result in account suspension. Submission of content prohibited under Section 3(d) will result in immediate permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement.
- (c) Report illegal content to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
- (d) Cooperate with law enforcement investigations involving content inscribed through our platform.
The Company cannot remove content that has been permanently inscribed on a blockchain network. However, the Company may remove content from Company-hosted display pages including milestone pages and decode pages in response to valid legal process or confirmed policy violations discovered after inscription.
9. REPORTING
If you believe content inscribed through OnChainImprint violates this Content Policy or applicable law, please contact us at hello@onchainimprint.com with the relevant transaction ID and a description of your concern.
